Starting late May 2026, our project workload saw a significant uptick. A long-paused ODM collaboration project with a client—on hold for a full year—is officially resuming this week. Promptly upon receiving the client’s project kickoff notification, we scheduled two dedicated online video meetings.

During these sessions, our teams jointly revised and finalized the product’s internal structural specifications. This major structural overhaul necessitated a full redesign of the product exterior to align with updated mechanical parameters.

Per established industry benchmarks, a seasoned design engineering team with a decade-plus of hands-on experience requires a lead time of 15–20 working days to deliver a complete new product development cycle. This end-to-end scope encompasses requirement alignment, concept sketching, 3D CAD modeling, structural breakdown analysis, DFM (Design for Manufacturability) assessments, iterative drawing revisions, and ongoing full-cycle project stewardship.

Our in-house design and R&D workflow follows a standardized feasibility-first protocol: upon capturing client briefs, we conduct an initial technical viability review. Aesthetics and mechanical frameworks are then engineered in tandem with human factor/ergonomic principles. Throughout the design phase, our engineers continuously optimize manufacturability and assembly complexity, balancing production expenditure, yield performance and visual integrity without compromising the intended exterior styling.
